The Church of San Pancrazio is the highest church in Polizzi and also the most scenic. The Torre di Leo, originally of San Pancrazio, was one of the fortifications that protected Polizzi in the Middle Ages.
BRIEF HISTORICAL BACKGROUND NOT TO BE MISSED
The church was probably built around the 12th century and was formerly the spiritual centre of the faithful of the Byzantine rite.
Since 1598 it has been home to the current Catholic confraternity of the same name.

Finally, the splendid and far-reaching view of the Madonie can be enjoyed from the square in front of the church.
