The Borgese Foundation is located in the historical home of the writer and his family, a place redolent with the emotional power that permeates his works.
BRIEF HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
The building, overlooking the splendid view of the valleys and mountains of Polizzi Generosa, stands on the ruins of the 15th-century convent of the Dominican Friars.
This mansion was the home of the Borgese family, where the writer grew up and found many of his inspirations, still quoted in his works today.
On 25 July 2002, on the initiative of the municipality, the Giuseppe Antonio Borgese Foundation was established, with its headquarters located in this historic building.
