The former Church of San Francesco is not only the Park of Music but also the permanent home of the pictorial cycle dedicated to Saint Francis, created by the renowned artist Croce Taravella from Polizzi Generosa, one of the most significant contemporary Sicilian artists today.
Taravella is considered unique in his field for his ability to combine traditional techniques with a modern and innovative interpretation.
His works often blend figurative elements with abstract ones, creating original and evocative compositions.
The pieces displayed in the former Church of San Francesco clearly express this, with colors and forms inspired by the Franciscan Sources beautifully showcased in the niches left vacant by the ravages of time.
This enriches the space with a synergistic dialogue between the past and the present, between sacred and contemporary art.
