During the days of merriment that culminate in Shrove Tuesday, 47 days before Easter, the village of Polizzi Generosa becomes a whirlwind of masked parties and dances that involve the entire community in the weeks leading up to it. Wearing the typical Polizzi carnival costume, the 'DominĂ²', a dark cloak with a hood that covers the wearer's face, the people meet in various venues scattered around the historical centre and start up merry, wandering dances that enliven the village streets until late at night. Come and join the masked parade in Polizzi Generosa and have fun with the locals in long, joyful dances in carnival costumes.
