From the base of the dolomitic amphitheater of Monte Quacella, among beech and holm oaks, to the discovery of the 30 remaining specimens of “Abies nebrodensis” (Madonie Fir), unique in the world!
After crossing Piano Grande, we will reach the summit of Monte Madonna dell’Alto (1,819 meters above sea level, the third highest peak of the Madonie) and its evocative Sanctuary (the highest Marian sanctuary in Italy), from which to admire the splendid panorama. We then continue to Piano Iola and descend along the opposite side of the Vallone Madonna degli Angeli within a dense beech forest.
